The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its most significant breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of an object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills easily, leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.
Its design is an improvement over the rest and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a little grit. Most robots can't do this. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to determine whether they're working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it's not equipped with some of the features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save some hundred dollars.

It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb and has very few missing in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place, emptying the bin can be done easily. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessity for the majority of people but it will help you keep the track of the maintenance intervals for your robot effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market however, it's costly.
The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and the size is relatively compact. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tested that do an excellent job of cleaning up debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially in the area of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It also can't climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app or as many in-app shortcuts like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.
If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive and has more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile carpets.

Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, just snap on one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app guides you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock near a power outlet and ample space for it to move around but.
The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it can be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The most important aspect that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path. It remembers what it has already cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.
The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges faster and has a similar battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand is less expensive and a lot simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be empty as often, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
